The Six Points Fellowship for Emerging Jewish Artists supports individual artists in the New York area who want to develop new projects with a Jewish focus, theme, or element. It is an innovative strategic partnership of Avoda Arts, Foundation for Jewish Culture, and JDub Records, and is made possible with major funding from UJA-Federation of New York.
The fellowship is based on the belief
that creative expression is essential to Jewish community, identity,
and meaning, and the fellowship was created to support the artists who
contribute to that process. The two-year program provides 12
artists working in music, visual arts, and performing arts with a living
stipend, financial project support, professional development workshops,
and ongoing peer and professional-led learning opportunities.
The first cohorts of Six Points Fellows
are: Alina Bliumis, Gabrielle Brechner, Clare Burson, Ofri Cnaani, Galeet
Dardashti, Andrea Dezso, Dan Fishback, David Griffin, Saar Harari,
Jeremiah Lockwood, Avishai Mekonen and Dan Safer.
