

The Council of American Jewish Museums
(CAJM), founded in 1977 under the auspices of the National Foundation
for Jewish Culture, is committed to strengthening the Jewish museum
field in North America. Through training of museum staff and volunteers,
information exchange, and advocacy on behalf of Jewish museums, CAJM
assists its institutional and individual members as they educate and
inspire diverse audiences on all aspects of Jewish culture and history.
CAJM remains affiliated with the Foundation for Jewish Culture, its
fiscal agent.
CAJM's 80 member institutions span
30 states and provinces and include Jewish art and history museums,
historic sites, historical and archival societies, Holocaust centers,
synagogue museums, children's museums, and Jewish Community Center and
university galleries. Individual members support the work of the
association and the Jewish cultural centers it serves.
